about.
Jackson Hole Instrument Project wants to make it easy for people to play music. Our mission is to put free, high-quality instruments into the hands of eager musicians.
Founded by local percussionist, Max Andersen, JHIP accepts instrument donations and matches those gifts with music students in Jackson Hole and in our broader region. Donated instruments are collected, evaluated by qualified musicians, and repaired as needed.
We aim to match playable instruments quickly with music students.
We are grateful for your gifts.

We accept donations of new and gently used music instruments.
While we are interested in all instruments, student musicians have a particular need for
guitars, keyboards, and drum kits.
Please note that some instruments may be sold to fund refurbishments or to purchase
other difficult-to-come-by instruments.
